Ninku Batch+Drama CD Release

The deed is done. Went back and fixed every possible inconsistency within reason in the entirety of this show, OVA, and movie, and now I am satisfied enough to put out this batch once and for all. Within this batch, there is also a new release, and that is a Ninku Drama CD that came with the blu-ray box with the original cast reprising their roles. It’s pretty entertaining if you ask me, so enjoy, it’s only been 18 months since episode 55. A changelog of all the changes is here. Gonna also link the OVA and movie even if they are technically not Saizen releases per-se, but only the highest resolution versions. Here are the patches if you have the single releases for 29+ and Box 1 1-28 release. These were designed to be one click and patch all affected episodes at once (for TV), just follow the accompanying instructions.

P.S.: In other news, the Ninku manga is being actively scanlated by Oil Scans and can be read here. Also, Soldado-Subs’ site is indeed dead, but the domain is alive and I put it to good use by just making it a vanity discord invite here.

Laughing Salesman TV Batch

Had this ready a while back, but you know, getting old here, so my apologies there, but anyway, here’s the batch of Laughing Salesman tv episodes. Note, there does not seem to be any differences from what is out there aside from one thing, eps 1-100 got a 0 added for the sake of order and something we should have done a long time ago. Batch is optional for those who watched the whole thing as a result. Big ups to our friends at Live-eviL for being with us the whole way. Specials are being worked on.

H2 – 11

So uh, it’s been a little while since our last H2 release, but in our defence, we’ve been really busy sitting and staring out of windows trying to look cool in front of girls, so y’know… priorities. Anyway, CP Day seemed like the perfect day to let this one out of the vault, so here’s another sprinkling of Adachi goodness for everyone to enjoy!

Yawara – 53-59 (BD)

And so, the final reaches its climax. Can Yawara bring home the gold? Or will her hopes be dashed at the last minute? Watch the latest Yawara batch in shiny Blu-ray quality to find out! This is a joint with Live-eviL.

Also, as some of our long-term fans probably already know, December 24th is CP Day, where we celebrate the life of our greatly missed fansubbing buddy, CP, who passed away several years ago. Yawara was a project very close to his heart, so putting out a seven-episode batch on what would have been his birthday seemed like a really good way to honor his memory. We miss you, pal ;__;

Attack on Titan OVAs DROPPED

So it looks like Funimation has just announced (or they did a few days ago and we missed it >.>) that they’ve licensed the Attack on Titan OVAs and are putting out official English subtitled releases for them, which means we are now dropping this project. While I don’t imagine this will affect too many people, and it may even come as a surprise to some that we still counted it as an ‘active’ project despite not releasing any OVAs for nearly four years, I figured it was only fair to let you weirdly loyal people who were holding out for more OVAs know that there won’t be any more forthcoming.

On a personal level, it’s a bit of a shame that licensing has thwarted us from finishing this one up because I really enjoyed working on these OVAs and wanted to complete them for completeness’ sake, but staffing issues hampered us from achieving that, and just as there was a faint flicker of light at the end of the tunnel in the last few months, we’ve had the rug yanked out from under us. Oh well. Such is the life of a fansub group. We’re glad these gems are becoming available to a wider audience all the same.

A big, big thank you to Soldado Subs who jointed with us after the first OVA – without them, this project wouldn’t have been possible at all, so I’m grateful for what we managed to achieve together. I’d name everyone individually but I’d end up forgetting people (gimme a break, we started this in 2013!) so the fairest way is to say thanks to everyone who put time and effort into subbing the Attack on Titan OVAs, and thanks to everyone who watched and enjoyed our subs!
