Kuroko’s Basketball – 37

Kuroko no Keredo - 37 - BD.1080p [365E6970]_001_31997

Fiending for more Kuroko? Don’t worry. We got you covered with the next ep of Kuroko’s Basketball on Blu-Ray for you! Episode 37 is now available for your viewing pleasure 😉

With the Winter Cup preliminaries over, we move forward with the story as Seirin takes a few minutes to take a breather at a hot spring before their all-out war with the Generation of Miracles takes place at the Winter Cup! Who will they play next? What sort of shenanigans  will they get into at the hot springs (Hm, I wonder :P)? Check this one out to find out.

Lastly, I wanted to take a minute to show you guys something. This is the original frame 31977 of this episode. You will notice a small change I made in the episode while you watch it if you play close attention. 10 internet points for the person who points it out first in the comments section, lol. Anyway, moving on, do you notice anything strange about this frame as it is right now? Hint: Look at how they spell the city names. Yeah, that’s right. They couldn’t even spell the name of a city like Los Angeles correctly… Nevermind the word “skies” or “continental.” You might be wondering why I’m bringing this up, and I’m glad you’re wondering. It means you’re thinking and are involved. I like that. The reason is very simple. If you’ve watched Season 3 already, you’ll notice that they spell Izuki’s name as “Iduki” throughout the season. We won’t be doing that. It’s wrong. I’ll go over why it’s wrong when we get there, but before we get there, I just wanted to point out how unreliable Japanese anime makers are when writing things in English. They can’t even spell a famous city’s name correctly, so keep this in mind when I bring up the issues with “Iduki” in Season 3 🙂

Anyway, rant over. Enjoy the anime folks!

Kuroko’s Basketball – 35-36

Kuroko no Bastards - 35 - BD.1080p [086287C4]_001_1102

And a great big “HEY!” to everyone out there on a lazy Sunday. Here’s Kuroko’s Basketball – 35-36 on BD for you! This double release brings us to the end of the game against Hanamiya and his Kirisaki Dai Ichi team. Will their foul play get the best of Seirin? Will Kiyoshi even be able to stand by the end of this one? If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you check it out! Enjoy!

Charady’s Daily Joke – 69-73

Charady 73
I’m not sure if anyone remembers (I’d almost forgotten) but we still do this project, so here’s another 5 episodes of mild hilarity for your pleasure to break up the monotony of your otherwise humourless day. Though you might want to make these last, because on current form, it might be a while before the next batch of riproaring jokes comes out ^_^

But onto a more serious note: as I may have mentioned previously, Charady’s Daily Joke was one of the projects that our much-missed colleague CP worked on before he sadly passed away last month. There’s very little I can say in this newspost that hasn’t already been said on this site at one time or another, but releasing this particular batch was always going to be poignant for us (me especially) because this project encapsulated CP’s finest points: his dedication, his love for overlooked shows that most people just won’t touch, and the fact that I could just hurl things at him at a moment’s notice after months of glacial progress and he wouldn’t bat an eyelid – he’d even be overjoyed and throwing them straight back before I had time to blink! So it seems apt that one of the Charady episodes in this batch involves a character raising a glass and drinking to an absent friend, and I’d like to do likewise. Thanks for all your contributions, both as a subber, a team player and a friend, ConsiderPhlebas.

Cheers.

Kuroko’s Basketball – 33-34

Kuroko no Bastards - 34 - BD.1080p [8348FC7C]_001_14990
Hey, everyone. Here are the next 2 episodes of Kuroko’s Basketball on Blu-Ray for you on a Friday. These episodes see the end of the flashback story about how Seirin started and how Kiyoshi was injured that Hyuga has been telling since episode 32 come to an end, and the game against Hanamiya’s Kirisaki Dai Ichi begins! Will Seirin exact their revenge on Hanamiya, or will they just get crushed again?

In other news, to call it a sad week at Saizen would be an understatement. We’re all truckin’ along and trying to keep positive. I can’t speak for anyone else, but despite my best efforts, I’m still pretty down over what happened. I didn’t work with CP a lot, but I do have one project I hadn’t really talked about that he worked on just getting its final touches done and it should be out relatively soon (in the next couple weeks if not sooner). I added it to the Projects page a couple weeks back with very little fanfare about it. It’s the movie, Hells, from Madhouse. We’ve done a complete redesign of the “official script” (I retranslated and localized that mess of a script) that was released with the BD in Japan many moons ago and we actually managed to typeset the whole thing (and it’s pretty crazy). So look forward to it coming out from us soon.

Anywho, hopefully these eps start the weekend off right for you. Enjoy the anime!

Kuroko’s Basketball – 32

Kurozuka - 32 - BD.1080p [2AEB3F21]_001_10110

Hey, everyone! AMS back again with some more Kuroko on Blu-Ray for you. This time it’s episode 32. In this one, we see the end and aftermath of Seirin’s game against Shutoku, the beginnings of the Seirin High basketball club and how Kiyoshi and Hyuga and all first met, and, as an added bonus, an amazing new idea from Midorima for how to deal with people!

This episode and the next one are sort of bridge episodes between games as the narrative rolls on. There’s a bunch of plot development though, so make sure you don’t skip them.

As always, enjoy!

Kuroko’s Basketball Bloopers – S2 Vol 1

[Saizen]_Kuroko's_Basketball_Bloopers_S2_Vol_1_[1080p][4FF29DC3]_001_332

Howdy, folks! AMS here again with some more Kuroko for you! This time, it’s the first volume of the season 2 bloopers for you 😉  This one has two clips from the season 2 volume 1 episodes, 26-27. I had a good little chuckle doing these two, so I hope you like them.

In other news, we got the rest of season 2 discs we needed the other night when Asian_InvAsian kindly popped into our irc channel, pointed us towards where we could get them, and the venerable Badskater offered to go grab them for us. So a big thank you goes out to both of you!

Ho-hum, enjoy the anime folks and don’t get frustrated like Kagami here!
