Amidst the excitement of Euro 2012 (which I’m sure you watched, right?), the saga of âCaptain Tsubasa: Road to 2002) now continues with the release of episode 41.
âWait! Ep 41?â, you ask. âThe last CT2002 release post was for a double release of episodes 38 and 39.â
âYou’re right,â I reply. âThat was, indeed, the last release post on the Web site, but we did manage to release at least one episode while the site was down: episode 40. Let me tell you: That was an exciting episode, but it didn’t end very well for Japan.â
In much the same way that some of the teams (Republic of Ireland, for example) are struggling in Euro 2012, Tsubasa and his team mates are struggling in the second half of their first international challenge: a not-so-friendly game against the Netherlands. At the end of the first half (the action in episode 40), Japan is not in a very good position. Will they be able to come out strong during the second half? Will they go on to beat the Dutch? You’ll have to download episode 41 of CT2002 to find out for yourself. All I’m going to say is that they’ve got a âsecret weaponâ…
What are you waiting for now? Go download ep 41. Actually, if you’d rather watch the entire not-so-friendly game against the Dutch in one sitting, download (if you haven’t already) ep 40 along with 41 and enjoy what I believe is Japan’s first foray into international football… er… soccer, for you American fans.
Before I close, I want to thank the CTJ team for giving you something to watch while “real life” has been keeping me away from the fansubbing scene. Â Judging by some of the release posts for that series, there was no shortage of action. Â Great job, guys.
Quick! Get going! Â Download and watch some âCaptain Tsubasa: Road to 2002″ action before the next round of Euro 2012 matches begin!!
EDIT by Torianna: After reading all of CTJ’s release posts, I do have a question for sangofe: Other than the speed of the CTJ releases, why did you like CTJ better than CT2002?
