Hello again, one and all. Here’s the next episode of Major Season 1 for you! After the crushing events that occurred in the last episode, we skip forward and join Honda Goro as the 9-year-old version of himself enters the fourth grade, where we are introduced to a few characters that will be sticking around throughout the series. Goro’s also finally become old enough to join a little league team now, so we get to see the coach we were introduced to back in episode 3.
The beat rolls on in this one as the narrative rebuilds itself and carries on, but that doesn’t mean that this is a throw away episode. There’s a lot going on, and we are introduced to a lot of characters that we will be spending a lot of time with not only during this season, but in seasons to come as well.

Because the HD broadcast that the HD raws originate from were aired years after the original subs came out would be the reason why.
Thanks for letting me know about that link. I’ve fixed it a number of times now, but it seems to keep reverting back once in a while for no particular reason… Maybe it had something to do with the website reboot. Dunno.

It takes the team about 15-20 total hours. 10-12 of those hours are done by me. That’s for an episode that already has the OP/ED done.

Short answer: Not that I know of, no.
Long answer: You can extract the fonts and script from the mkv file (you can extract the video and audio streams too :P) and reencode to whatever profile you need for any hardware you have. I imagine someone has probably made an encoder gui to do it for an xbox one. I don’t know though.

The file is your standard fansub mkv for the most part.
I get the feeling you don’t really know your way around these files. I really suggest checking out the forums at doom9 (http://forum.doom9.org/). These people deal with this sort of thing all the time.
The thing you’re probably going to need to do is hard encode the subtitle track onto the video stream for playback. I could go into details, but I have a feeling I might be talking over your head.
The basic idea is that right now these files have what are known as “softsubs”, and thus have a separate subtitle stream you can turn on or off. What you will probably need to do is merge the subs with the video, effectively “burning” the subs into the video stream.
We don’t provide a file like that for a few reasons that I don’t feel we really need to go over.

i downloaded episode 1 of Major season 1 and i then downloaded cccp and followed the instructions.

Um, dude… Do you not know how to use torrents? It’s no big deal if you don’t (use a torrent program). It’s just starting to feel like you’re trolling now…

Okay.
A torrent file is not the video file. It’s a file that connects you to a swarm of other people who are trying to get or have the file, so that you can download it. It’s a method of distribution.
So, to use a torrent file you need a torrent client. There are a ton out there so just search it on google and pick one. Once you have a torrent client installed on your computer, open the torrent file with it. At that point, it should ask you what location you want to save the file to or whatever. After that, the actual file will start downloading.

If it’s seeding, it means it’s only uploading the file. That means you already have the file. You just need to open it and watch it now (as long as you have CCCP and all that taken care of already).

Just downloaded episode 1 of major! heard great things
It will never finish seeding. Seeding is just uploading once the download has been completed. It is really helpful to us if you seed (as it is sharing your bandwidth to give another person a copy of the file instead of us having to provide the bandwidth), but once you have a share ratio of 1+, I’d really just turn the torrent off or remove it from the client.
That’s awesome the you got it to work the way you want! Would you care to share how you did it here so that someone else won’t ask the same question? The one thing I’d be worried about using an encoder/transcoder GUI to do it is making sure you have the typesetting fonts installed on your computer.
I just downloaded the VLC player on xbox (which came out last month) which accepts .mkv with subtitles separate!! You just need to either trasnfer the video onto a usb or hard drive and plug it into your xbox or it can give you directions on how to do it by wifi!
