Damn, this episode spent almost the first half recapping events of the previous episode’s last few minutes even after the title card appeared. What a jip!
@Ironhide: Yes, this episode was pretty much a cliffhanger.
Sadly enough, it will remain a cliffhanger as we’re in a desperate need of quality checkers. For those who don’t know what a qc does, it’s checking out the scipt, looking for typos, possible mistakes, in other words proofreading. Really good qc is also looking for possible timing wrongs, but that’s not obligatory.
We would be really thrilled to have more people on our team who can help with releasing this series.
@Sendo: The easiest way to check the script is with Aegisub, it’s what every fansubber works with. It’s easy to use and you can choose if you want just the script/text or you can add the raw and follow subs on the screen.
Thanks for the great work of bringing back those childhood memories with such an astonishing series which is Captain Tsubasa.
After releasing all 128 eps are you planning to do Shin, J and Road to 2002 series as well?
What about the movies?
From wiki:
“In total there have been 4 films, 14 OVAs and 227 TV episodes.”
I know its maybe a bit to much to ask for, but maybe you can bring back whole set in one go 😉
I can promise good seed speeds for all of those.
Found on nyaa your movies, whole Road to 2002 and some J series Eps. Again THANKS (download speed is low but I think I can get it and ramp the speeds up myself).
Will you release the rest that is missing?
I mean 3rd movie, missing J series eps. 1-34 and whole Shin (OVA) series eps. 1-14.
It would be also good to put it in one torrent after doing all of Captain Tsubasa to make it easier for seeding.
No for 3rd movie, and the missing J series eps. 1-34. We miiiiiiiiiiight do Shin later. A very big might, but we almost have no QC left, so we might also not release much more.
M-L will continue with CT-J only when they finish what they already have of backlog of Conan eps, don’t ask there since Conan got the highest priority.
Thanks for the repiles.
Seen that 3rd movie RAW and you were right, its just a bunch of clips put together, no harm of not doing that (but it should be fairly easy to put subs on 25min clip show from other eps, just some time editing).
It would be a shame though, to not make Shin and finish CT-J to make the whole set of Captain Tsubasa.
Anyway, now I’m just waiting patiently for the end of this series (86-128)
Glad there’s interest in QCing. My life has been more chaotic than what’s good for me so I need to stop QCing for a while until that’s fixed. Hope you pass and become an awesome QC, Sendo.
DaVince: I’m feeling somewhat similar, so I decided to stop for some time but I hope the project will somehow survive until the end with the great effort from the core team.
@juggen: Don’t get me wrong, I DO appreciate your efforts Saizen FANsubs team. Just wanted to say that, as I think many would like to see whole Captain Tsubasa series done with english subs.
I would like to help but I don’t know Japanese. I can just provide the upload, as I have mentioned.
You also said “but it should be fairly easy to put subs on 25min clip show from other eps, just some time editing”. Afaik there’s nothing stopping you from doing so.
How does this sound to you: “Thanks Saizen, love your releases, if they were faster I’d love you even more.”
To me it just sounds super annoying, since you hide your intentions with pretty words and think it justifies your behaviour since you said something nice too. It doesn’t. >_>
@bl4 I hate to say it, but Juggen’s right. Saying anything is “easy,” and volunteering other people to do it while you sit back and do nothing is just flat out rude. No matter how you say it. You’re basically telling the Tsubasa people to go get the movie (could cost $$$), rip and encode it, go through it and pull out the lines (which you may need someone with Japanese ability to do), time it to the new raw, edit it, possibly typeset it, qc it, have someone mix the qc reports and get all the notes handled, then encode a release file to be checked and hopefully get passed on as a release (it may not be and this step will have to be repeated). After that, there’s creating the torrents, uploading them, and writing the various posts linking to it. Did all that sound “easy” to you?
As you can see after I laid out the whole process to you, you’re probably asking 5-6 people to each spend a couple hours of their lives for a clip show movie they don’t get paid to do while you do absolutely nothing.
I understand that you really like Captain Tsubasa and would love it if someone did that movie, but at the same time you are actually showing no appreciation (even though you say you do appreciate the Tsubasa team’s work. It’s kind of a contradiction, don’t you think?). That’s why there are rules about not asking about this kind of thing (that no one ever seems to follow) and why some folks here will be understandably annoyed with you if you tell them to do it because it’s “fairly easy” and isn’t a lot of work.
I have always kind of wondered how much money the free labour Saizen does would cost if we broke down the various positions and the time required to complete their tasks. You’re probably looking at somewhere around $200+ USD per 24-25min episode.
I probably alone spent five hours on every Ippo episode this season, sometimes less, mostly more. Goddammit, you guys would owe me over 2000$ with a decent pay…
Thanks for the fast release guys !!!
Only 1/3 of the total eps remain, good luck !!
Damn, this episode spent almost the first half recapping events of the previous episode’s last few minutes even after the title card appeared. What a jip!
Thanks for the sub work though!

In what format would I receive the scripts? Notepad? Word? Full episodes? I guess I could do help if it’s just proofreading.
@Sendo: The easiest way to check the script is with Aegisub, it’s what every fansubber works with. It’s easy to use and you can choose if you want just the script/text or you can add the raw and follow subs on the screen.
I just installed it and am having a little fiddle around with it. Maybe I should have a trial run.
Way to go!
Now, it’s only to contact sangofe, who’s the leader of the project.:)

So, dear Tsubasa fans, this means there won’t be any Captain Tsubasa releases until we get at least 2 new quality checkers.
Announcement is under way.
Cool, why don’t you go ahead with that then, bl4. I’m sure people will appreciate your effort. ^^

Please don’t add up all the money we haven’t got for our toil, AMS. It’ll only make me feel more poor ;____;
