Come on, people! So far, no new recruits 🙁
Since this news post was published (31th jan), six people have replied, while only two of them have actually sent in anything. These tests are like 3 min long, and only take 10min(?) to do. So except for the typesetting test, which takes considerably much longer, you can perhaps see now, how putting out a full episode can take so much time, when most “recruits” can’t even seem to finish a 3-min test. ^^;
Anyways, still waiting on more recruits to arrive, and old ones to send in their tests. 😉

Yeah, we don’t do popular shit, and most people don’t even know what exist. Things were very much different during the time when we actively subbed Buzzer Beater, Eyeshield 21 and Hungry Heart Wild Striker.
Of course not that many visit it. I was mainly trying to make a point by comparing the recruits low test-finishing-rate to our release-rate. 😛
I sent an email regarding the Quality Checker and Editor positions, just waiting for a response. What exactly is typesetting and how difficult can it be?
Well, it’s making Japanese signs into English equivalents, using programs as Aegisub and/or After Effects.

Odd usage of the words “too large.” As far as I know, we’ve never released anything under 100mb in size…
No FalseDawn, that was a test file, and you gan … I don’t think files +230mb are that large .. even with my 30 kb/s speed, I get them in few hours .. ( that’s really normal ).
and about your test, dunno what was your position, but you can upload the sub only for Juggen instead of the ep along it 😀

Wow, I’d have to watch 32 episodes to catch up before I could help with Ashita No Joe. How’s the quality of the unedited TL? We had those great TL’s like fiz, hooliganj, and w-general. That TL Of The Week we had toward the end of my es21 run was awful and made editing horrendous.
