Not a whole lot faster, but now we at least have a trustworthy editor on this project after three of them bailed…
As promised, we release a v2 of episode 7 due to some filter-issues on the previous encode, as well as a completely unnecessary note in pdf-format. ^^
We’re looking to release a v2 of episode 6 too due to some editing inconsistencies, but that might take a while as many are in the form of hardcoded signs. Nothing you’re not used to at this point though…
And yes, we’re doing Hajime no Ippo S3 one way or another, and probably the Ano Hana movie whenever it is out on BD too. ^^

Well, yes – I guess, relatively-speaking, 10 months is faster than two years between releases, but I’m not holding onto my hat for fear it’ll be knocked off at that rate :p
Hajime No Ippo S3 will be done quickly and effectively. I guarantee.
Fansubbing most be so stressful, you want to sub the projects you enjoy, but its so hard to keep a team together or motivated to do anything, while fans are just lashing out at you, for something not being released yet.

Is this an upscale of something? Just curious, as I tend to notice alot of digital stuff in HD looks upscaled.
Probably. Not all BDs are true HD.

As for the resolution, I think the BD looks too good to be 480 to start with, so perhaps 720 or so was the original. I’m not a good judge of video quality, though.
I’m no encoder either, but upscaling the video properly can increase the quality quite a deal, but will ofc never be true-hd.
The reason why there only is a 720p version, is since it’s upscaled and wouldn’t really give any increased detail. ^^
